  • GMMB has a hybrid work schedule with at least two days in office presence.

  • This position is based in Washington DC.

  • Salary range $95,000 - $110,000

You are … a Managing Supervisor who knows how to:

  • Collaborate with an integrated communications team to understand client goals and develop relevant and effective advertising and communication strategies for communities of color, particularly for Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino/a/x audiences.

  • Work with account teams and our internal paid media department to develop effective and targeted advertising plans for traditional, digital, and social media with an in-depth knowledge of the Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino/a/x markets.

  • Write, develop, and review creative briefs, communications plans, messaging, press materials, advertising copy, blog posts, etc.

  • Work with account teams and our internal creative department to develop creative content and advertising for issue and advocacy clients.

  • Serve as client contact on accounts and lead client calls and discussions, building rapport and credibility with client(s) based on trust and expert counsel.

  • Identify potential project challenges and quickly resolve problems for issue and advocacy clients, using project management expertise and communications/advertising knowledge.

  • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines.

  • Stay informed on client industries and issues.

  • Mentor junior staff.

  • Actively participate in new business efforts for the firm including developing new business opportunities, writing proposals, and delivering presentations.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required

  • Proficient in Spanish and English written communications required

  • 7-9 years of experience in client engagement/account management in a communications, advertising, or public relations agency

  • Experience with paid media advertising campaigns

  • Willingness to be a team player and desire to roll up your sleeves to problem solve in the issue advocacy space

  • Exceptional writing skills; ability to synthesize complicated information and translate it into compelling and easy-to-understand messages

  • Solid project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
