This is an exciting career opportunity for an experienced corporate communications counselor with strong leadership skills to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams on executive visibility, executive and corporate positioning, media relations, strategic plans and day-to-day account management for a variety of clients in healthcare, technology, financial and retail industries. The position will be based in either our St. Louis or Minneapolis office. Candidates will work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day activities for multiple client accounts, including proactive counsel to clients, project management on executive visibility and thought leadership strategy, media relations, event strategy, awards recommendations, and content development for executives (social media content, speeches, messaging, etc.)

• Write and edit integrated communications plans, media and event pitches, memos, messaging, research briefs and backgrounders media materials, website and digital/social media content, client correspondence, and collateral.

• Build and maintain strong relationships, with clients, media, and vendors to build visibility for clients’ executives and brands

• Work with senior team members to help generate incremental business opportunities with our existing clients and contribute to new business proposals by prospecting, conducting research, audits, participating in ideation sessions, and presenting in new business pitches.

• Be an effective and trusted resource to corporate communications clients.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in a corporate communications role, specifically related to executive visibility and thought leadership. Previous agency experience is preferred.

  • Excellent writing and editing abilities with experience in all forms of persuasive, corporate and executive communication, including news releases, pitches, executive talking points, Q&A preparation, social media content (short form and longform).

  • Ability to develop strategic, comprehensive integrated communications plans that apply creative tactics and use a variety of communication channels. Demonstrates confidence in presenting them effectively and persuasively to current and prospective clients.

  • Understanding of integrated communications and content distribution across earned, owned and paid media platforms.

  • Proficiency in social media and experience in developing and implementing integrated strategies via content and channel management for executives.

  • Strong media relations experience with proven program results and success in building relationships with top-tier and industry (trade) media .

  • Ability to intake and analyze client feedback in real time and pivot recommendations, considerations, and solutions.

  • Exceptional delegation and team collaboration skills for managing several ongoing projects and timely deliverables.

  • Results-focused approach and committed to going the extra mile for clients.

  • Strong and engaging presence to instill confidence in account and client teams.

  • Additional proficiencies required include excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, analytical skills, collaborating with diverse teams, solid news and issues judgment, basic PowerPoint and Excel skills and an understanding of how large corporations operate.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $71,000.00 to $125,000.00.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
